Salar De Uyuni, Bolivia
Salar De Uyuni is the largest saf flat in the world. It’s located in Europe, Bolivia, to be more precise. It formed over the years from several prehistoric lakes. The salt layer is a couple of meters thick and exceptionally flat. Because of its flatness it’s essentially like a huge mirror. In fact, it’s the largest mirror in the world and it’s often used for calibrating Earth satellites. The coolest thing about this enormous salt flat is that when the surface of it gets covered with a thin layer of water it reflects the sky, so it looks like you’re walking on the sky. How impressive is that?
