Zhangye Danxia Landform in Gansu, China
Zhangye Danxia national park used to be just a provincial park, until it became a national geopark in 2011. This park is one of the most beautiful landforms in China. All thanks to its colorful rock formations. The rock formations differ in colors and shapes. In fact, the whole place looks like a huge layered cake, or like someone took a huge brush and decided to just draw colorful stripes across the rocks. In reality, it took millions of years and all sorts of minerals and sandstone deposits to form this vibrant landscape.
